Handwriting Readiness

Writing Readiness is designed for young learners who need more practice writing before entering Kindergarten or after just completing Kindergarten. Learners will work on foundational skills including posture, grip, and pre-writing strokes. This class will also focus on alphabet knowledge, learning strokes of capital letters, and writing their name using the Handwriting Without Tears award winning program and multisensory activities.

Intro to Print

This printing group will focus on forming good handwriting habits while learning to print capital and lowercase letters and numbers. Learners will also learn to write their name and gain exposure to writing words and sentences. Intended for students entering 1st or 2nd grade.

Beyond Basics – Print Remediation

Beyond Basics Print Class moves beyond the basics and focuses on review and remediation of common handwriting challenges such as reversals and spacing. In this class, learners will receive capital and lowercase letter formation review and focus on letter size, line placement, and sentence writing. Intended for students entering grades 1-3.

Intro to Cursive

This class is for beginning cursive writers. The focus of this class is on learning to write lower case letters in cursive, focus on letter connections, and writing their name in cursive. Intended for students entering 2nd or 3rd grade.
